How to check and repair children’s beds

The medical pediatric bed is a medical bed designed for children. Compared with the adult bed, it has many advantages such as durability, beauty, corrosion, and easy cleaning. During the use of the hospital pediatric bed, please do not overload it to avoid intense impact. Safety load: static 250kg; dynamic 170kg, regular inspections of the joints of the movable parts (the cycle is generally once a quarter) (such as screws and solid parts, increased lubricating oil), avoid using strong acids, alkalis, and salt items when cleaning. Wipe with a low-concentration detergent, then damp the towel with clean water, twist it dry, and then wipe it clean.

Because the medical children bed is different from that for adults, the fence of the medical bed for children is particularly high. As some children like to climb, the solidity of the fence part of a qualified medical pediatric bed is very important. If the fence is not strong without the care of medical staff, it is easy to cause injury to the child.

There have been more than one news reports that a child fell from a medical bed, fractured, and injured. Whether it is the manufacturer of the medical children's bed or the purchaser of the children's hospital, the firmness of the bed body and the degree of impact resistance during movement need to be strictly checked.

Medical staff should inspect and repair children's beds after they have been used for a certain period of time to check whether there are potential malfunctions. We have experienced four common methods for repairing medical children's beds. The following are related contents:

1.Check from the mattress. Look for bedspreads and sagging or unevenness to indicate severe wear on the mattress itself. Use upholstery needle or proper sewing machine repair cover. If disinfected, or replace the mattress.

2.Reorganize the bed frame and related parts. Lubricate all the frames on the hinges, including all movable joints. Rotate the joints to ensure that they run smoothly and do not creak and glide. Attach new or clean electronic components, switches and wiring. Put on a new or innovative mattress. Plug the power cord into the power outlet and test the function of the bed.

3. Circuit board and control mechanism. All electronic surfaces use compressed or aerosol air to blow away dust and grime. Replace worn cables, wires and wires. Test electronic components, such as switches and control buttons, and mechanized bed movement. Replace the circuit board of the old bed, the circuit test indicates the electronic components.

4. The disassembled structure includes armrests, headboard and pedals. Pull the casters, wheels and brakes from every corner of the bed frame. Use an electric sander for rusty parts. Protect the primer and then paint the metal parts with a layer of paint. And replace worn casters as needed.
